Divine

Website
With Divine Free Edition, you can convert ANY Photoshop design to a WordPress theme. Divine was developed for those who know a bit from Photoshop and sites creation but don't want to get bored marking up a valid site on the basis of CMS manually. By the way, the site gets uploaded to the server via the built-in FTP-client.

Official response:
The thing is Divine was developed as the plugin for Photoshop CS3 and CS4. In future we are planning to adapt the program to CS, CS2 and PS 7.
For now, you can only try installing Divine to Photoshop 7, but we give no guarantees it's gonna work properly.

I actually downloaded the .exe file received by mail, but the setup didn't launch (only a brief black window). I'm on windows XP and don't have photoshop, but other softwares with photoshop plugins compatibility. Thanks for any feedback.
Official response:
We're sorry for this inconvenience - please try downloading the setup file again, it's fixed already.

An installable Virtual Device Driver failed Dll initialization. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
Official response:
Krugerm,
to solve the issue, we need to know your system configurations: what OS and Photoshop versions do you run? What antivirals have you installed on your computer? What version of Divine plugin do you have?
A screenshot of Divine info window would be helpful, too.

Please address your answer, using our contact form

Is it planned a standalone version? Eg. In a team, the designer produce the PSD and the developer get this tool as standalone to quick export the markup and tweak it as necessary, without having to install Photoshop?
Official response:
This functionality's planned to be included in Divine PRO Edition.

It would be nice to have some kind of menu to include popular script in the head of templates (JQuery, Scriptaculous, Mootools & CO) in the head of the template.
Official response:
This functionality's planned to be included in Divine Extended and PRO editions.

I looked, seems i got confused maybe. But i have been testing free download for over a week now, gotta say this is one impressive plugin.
Official response:
First of all, thank you so much for being with us and assisting in beta testing.
For now only Divine Free Edition is available for downloading. Divine Free is also under beta testing at the moment. The next version to be released is Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal).
But the good news is that we are planning to show you screenshots of Divine Elemente in the nearest future. As long as its functionality is yet unstable, we’ll publish the first plugin build for all beta testers. This will happen very soon.
To turn beta testing in the maximum efficient process, we’re selecting beta testers our own way (which is stated in the Agreement and NDA). As the result - the most active testers will get Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) as a reward.

Hi, I just installed Divine and am looking forward to playing around with it. I think it's a brilliant idea and hopefully will save me some time. One thing I noticed when reading the free version limitations online is that it says that the minimum size is 750px by 1000px and the maximum is 1000px by 2000px. So I was under the impression that anything WITHIN those sizes should be fine. (For example, 750px by 750px). However, I can only get Divine to work if the dimensions are exactly 750px by 1000px or 1000px by 2000px and nothing inbetween. Otherwise I get an error saying the document is not within the size limitations. Anyway, I was just wondering if this is normal or if there could be a problem with my installation.
Official response:
Let me clarify the issue: layout size must not be smaller than 750X1000 px and bigger than 1000X2000 px. This means the document width must be between 750 and 1000 px, and height - between 1000 and 2000 px.

Hope this helps.

upd: Good news! We're announcing a new feature in Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal)- Layout editor

The results were quite poor (4 images, and the theme didn't work -at all-).

Now, I'm not sure if it's my computer, the Photoshop (CS3) or the 'Divine' itself.
I didn't do anything much but edit the colours, and removed a few stuff to see the how it would turn up, and yeah, you can see the link, not really how I expected it to be.

I think that the theme is a little faulty for it, since when 'showed the grid' in the 'Divine' menu there was a small area which said not to put objects in it, and there they were. =/

Bet, this was probably annoying to read, so sorry about that.
Official response:
Sorry for the inconvenience. Here's what we need to help you out: please send us the PSD via contact form and copy this message to your email, so that we could recognize you somehow.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Now I know that Divine has a lot planned for the future, but maybe the Divine team capture the mind's of the extravagent desginer's and coder's on the web and the ability to make "widget's" for WordPress! When I say widget's I mean like optimiziation to the WordPress theme to make it appeal to it's audience.
Official response:
Hello Blake!
Thank you for suggesting fresh idea to improve Divine.
Could you please specify and describe in details how exactly you see this widget, so that our developers could correlate it with the possibilities of our program?

Make it possible to save the image files as transparant PNG image so that you can add opacity to layers.
Official response:
This functionality will be included in Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal).

What divine is a comprehensive tool for export. Psd to Worldpress all know!
The best would be a paid version with all features and free for basic options like posisionamento the header, sidebar and post ...
That means putting the search option post, menus and other functions header (banner advertisements, comments on tabs for example) only with the Pro version or pay ...
Could there also a way of working with Adobe Fireworks as some WebDesign is a success!

Official response:
This functionality will be included in Divine Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) and Pro.

Hello, I have both CS3 and CS3.5 photoshop and on the CS3 version the free product works great. On the CS3.5 version i am not getting the same menus. If someone has the same version of photoshop CS3.5 they should also check. It might just be my version but i have it installed on different computer and from different disks from adobe.
Official response:
Hello,

Could you please give us a link to download Photoshop CS3,5?

In the official release - Do you plan for any of the following:

- A way to use some sort of visual tool, to create new rows and columns.

- A way to drag-and-drop these rows and columns, expand their sizes, etc.

Basically, a tool to draw new areas in the layout. And then easily resize and move them around each other.
Official response:
We're announcing a new feature in Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) - Layout editor
