Divine

Website
With Divine Free Edition, you can convert ANY Photoshop design to a WordPress theme. Divine was developed for those who know a bit from Photoshop and sites creation but don't want to get bored marking up a valid site on the basis of CMS manually. By the way, the site gets uploaded to the server via the built-in FTP-client.

You guys are taking way to long with this! I want to create a theme with Divine the way I like (free version sucks.. sorry). I've been waiting here almost a year to see the release of a full version. When is this going to happen?
Official response:
We really understand you, as the release date of Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) Edition was delayed indeed to compare with previously announced one.

The main reason for such delay is that the edition to be released hasn’t corresponded to our views about a ready product.

Anyway, the release date of Divine Elemente Edition will be announced soon.

When I publish my theme none of my images show up at all. I have watched your tutorials and there is nothing discussed about labeling images. What am I doing wrong?
Official response:
To clear this situation, could you tell what Photoshop version you use, what template and please send us screenshots. Looking forward to your reply.

You can also try to save any image through Photoshop in any format in the Temp folder. Was you successful?

For the convertion psd to Html, divine use html 5 tag to convert the nav bar, or sections of layout, or article tag that the new version of html can use?
the new layout are based with the new html tag : header, nav, section, article, footer and for that a new doctype. it's possible?
Official response:
Thanks for your interest in Divine project.

We'll consider your idea soon, thanks.

Hi, this project is great! Reading your site, I'm not sure that is it compatible with Photoshop CS2?
Official response:
Hello! Thank you for the question.
The thing is Divine was developed as the plugin for Photoshop CS3 and CS4. In future we are planning to adapt the program to CS2 and CS.
For now, you can only try installing Divine to Photoshop CS2, but we give no guarantees it's gonna work properly.

I think the installer has a bug that prevents a successful install on an XP Pro machine with Photoshop CS3 installed onto a directory that is partitioned other than C:\\ I receive one message stating that there is more than one version of PS installed on my machine (this is not the case). The second message tells me that the installer cannot find Photoshop...
Official response:
We've just issued the fresh software made - please download it, the problem must be resolved.

When I click 'HTML preview', another 'HTML preview' item appears.
Joan
Official response:
The drop-down list where you see another "HTML preview" item must contain accounts that you should previously create. Until you do that, the list will only contain that item as a single one.
To add a new account, press "FTP account settings".

The basic-layout11.psd Swimsuit template crashes CS4 when opening Divine, along with many other of my attempted exports.

Please download the latest version - the issue must be fixed.

Thank you for the question.
Unfortunately we don't work with Adobe Fireworks and we're not planning it in future.

I have kept everything within the proportions of the grid but i still get a very strange result indeed hen i ask to see the publish html preview. When putting it in the theme folder of a working WP the result is nothing like i expected.
Also a lot of errors when i try to upload instead ('requested file action aborted, storage allocation exceeded') which i don't really understand that i do..?

What am i doing wrong?

But is ok with size 900 x 1010.
Strange :)
Official response:
Please let me clarify thew issue: the layout size must not be smaller than 750X1000 px and bigger than 1000X2000 px. This means the document width must be between 750 and 1000 px, and height - between 1000 and 2000 px.

Well, this seems to explain why 900X1010 is OK for Divine:)

I've installed Divine on my computer(Win XP / 32 bit) but i dont see any sing of divine. Not in the main menu and not under File - >Automate - >Divine...
Official response:
Sorry for that trouble, I'll try to clarify things to you.

First of all, you can launch Divine from the main menu in Photoshop CS - CS3 or going to File - >Automate - >Divine in Photoshop CS4+.

If after installation you can see the plugin neither in the main Photoshop menu nor in the «File -> Automate», you are to reinstall the software. During this process, please select the accurate version of Adobe Photoshop and check a regional one too (for un-English versions) where you are installing the plugin in. You could also select an item “Custom Folder” and specify manually where plugins of your Photoshop’s version are (e.g. C:\Adobe Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins).

Regarding 64-Bit products, we don't support them for now.

Hey There,

I have downloaded and been testing Divine for over 3 weeks now and tried and tried and tried in vain to set up the FTP Account Settings to point towards my WordPress Installation and to the Themes Directory, However, it keeps saying that it can't connect or the Host Name is Wrong. I have checked out each and every detail over and over again, and I am putting the right details in, Can't seem to figure it out. Can you guys please put a better tutorial of how the FTP Settings need to be worked with. I am hosting with IX WEB HOSTING with C-Panel and using WordPress 2.8 with Linux server and PHP 4+

Is it also posible to save the Converted Theme to a Local Folder for Manual Upload?? This I believe would give a lot of freedom to many designers like myself to make suttle chages as and when needed.

Please Respond.

Tallyho!

Jeasy.

Official response:
Jeasy,

please answer the following questions, so that we could help you out in full:
1. Is the preview page displayed correctly?
2. Are there any mistakes in the export window?
3. What does Divine eject while testing?
4. Do off-site FTP-clients work properly with the remote server?
5. What OS do you run?
6. Have you got any firewalls installed?

About saving your theme to a local folder - yes, you can do it with the help of new program make - please download it and try again: Publish to->Local folder.

even though the connection test is positive and I tried all sorts of directories and entries, I can't find my theme, maybe because it doesn't have a name - but the field for the theme name doesn't accept any sort of input.
Official response:
Temporary files are saved here Temp\DivineTemp\Preview
In the nearest program releases you'll get a possibility to select a folder for the temporary files.
What you can do now is save your themes to local folders via "Publish to".
